When you work as much as I do, and you don’t have an office (by choice), you find a lot of places that have a good vibe for you to get work done. Most of the time this means coffee shops in Seattle…
Each of the coffee shops listed I have spent many hours working, drinking coffee, and meeting with other real estate professionals at. And each have a different vibe that I feel can be good for getting different types of work done. And they each have different quality coffee. All of which I talk about below.
Voxx on Eastlake
This coffee shop is located on Eastlake AVE right in the heart of the sought after Eastlake neighborhood. Which is an easy walk from most places in Eastlake.
The thing that originally brought me to the Voxx Coffee shop was the coffee. Voxx has some of the best Americano’s in Seattle, not to mention the staff is also great.
What I learned after working at Voxx quite a few times, is that the location is GREAT for meeting due to the easy of location from the 5 freeway. And the parking is easy in the neighborhood (and free for 2 hours). Or free for the whole day if you can find a spot down by the lake.
The internet speed here is only so, so, but they were talking about upgrading to gigabit internet soon.
The only real downside to Voxx is it can be pretty noisy in the summer months when the doors are open, and large trucks are driving by.
Coffee – Great!
Parking – Not bad.
Internet – Slow, but could be improving.

Dubsea Coffee in White Center
This is a place that I’ve only recently started going to. Ever since I moved into the area.
Dubsea Coffee has a very chill vibe that’s great for meetings. They also have 2 hour parking that’s hardly ever not available.
The internet speed is only so, so. I should test it, so I can give you an accurate speed test.
As far as environment goes, this place is very light with high ceilings, which gives it a good open feeling. It’s also very rarely busy, so you can easily find a table during the day.
Coffee – The coffee here is good, but not my favorite, and the people working here are super nice.
Parking – Super easy!
Internet – Slow, but gets the job done.

Zoka Coffee in Tangletown
Vibe – If you like to work and have meetings near Green Lake this is the spot to be! Zoka not only has great coffee, but they have a super cool vibe for working and meetings.
Zoka in Tangletown is the most versatile of the coffee shops here. Meaning they have that creative vibe (that I think comes from the Tangletown area), and the space is great for meetings or collaborative work parties.
Coffee – Great!
Parking – Parking here isn’t ideal, but I can usually find street parking south of Zoka.
Internet – The last time I was there, it was slow.

Fremont Coffee Company
Vibe – If you’re looking for a place to get creative, this is your jam! The Fremont Coffee Company is in an old Fremont house. It’s super cool!
You order you coffee in the living room, and then find one of the bedrooms, or deck to snuggle into and let your creative juices flow.
I have had several meetings here, but it really shines as a place to write, or work on your creative project.
Coffee – The coffee here is also top notch!
Parking – The parking can be a pain if you aren’t lucky. Most of the time you can find 2 hour parking on Fremont AVE, but if that’s full you’ll have to drive around to look for an open spot.
Internet – Pretty slow.

Roy St Coffee & Tea in Capitol Hill
This coffee shop is a great space for meetings. There’s a very professional vibe here that you don’t find in a lot of coffee shops. It’s also a big space, so you can almost always find a good place to meet up with someone, and chat.
The downsides of this coffee shop are that the parking is always available, but you might have to park in the neighborhood, and walk a few block. This is totally fine, except when it’s pouring rain (#seattle).
The other thing that I don’t find great about Roy St is that they serve Starbucks coffee. I have nothing against Starbucks, and I think they are a great business, but they don’t serve my favorite tasting coffee.
Coffee – Starbucks
Parking – Always available, but might have to walk. 4 hour limit after 12noon in the neighborhood.
Internet – Not bad, but could be better.

OK, Joe, this is good to know, but for those of us who live “across the water”…
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find some great meeting spaces/coffee shops near a ferry terminal. I don’t care which one – Edmonds, Seattle (Colman Dock), Fauntleroy. Since we moved across the water but we still need to meet with folks in the Seattle area, I find it convenient to take the ferry over as a walk on passenger. So I would like to find some good places to meet up with folks and get some work done!
Thanks in advance!

That’s a tough one! All of the coffee shops that I’ve listed I have spent many hours at. I usually don’t have many meetings near the ferry terminals, but if I do I’ll add them. 🙂
